If you need to change terminals, a post security walkway connects them, so connections are easy. It is the same for your SYR flight, which will use either C or D depending on availability. Based on flying out of LGA, MCO flights depart/arrive from both C and D, so there is not telling where you will depart from. If you are flying into LGA, DL uses Terminals C and D. Even still, the greater amount of runways, greater layover time, and better organization make JFK my choice when possible. The likely reason for this is due to many airlines (and many DL flights) having to share slots. However, a minor con is JFK has less frequency to MCO than LGA (~4x/day JFK-MCO vs. The pros for flying from JFK are that you have more runways (an advantage in bad weather) and JFK is more organized IMHO. Taking the JFK Jitney, you will not have to reclear security as you are still in the airside. If your MCO flight departs from T4, follow the signs for Terminal 4/B Gates in T2 and proceed. If your MCO flight departs from T2, just proceed to your gate. The last time I flew to/from MCO, I departed from T4 and arrived at T2, but it changes. MCO uses either terminal, so I would check up until your flight departs. From there, it gets a little confusing as DL domestic flights (other than SEA, SFO, and LAX) at JFK use either T2 or T4. If you are flying into JFK, it is highly likely your flight from SYR will arrive at JFK T2, as SYR-JFK is operated by an RJ. As a somewhat frequent DL flyer out of JFK and LGA, I find that both airports have their pros and cons.
